Eurofins for safety at work
A conference was held at the Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) at the end of April entitled “Current issues in safety at work – Experiences, data and tasks”. Staff members of the Environmental Division at Eurofins Analytical Services have been contributing to the post-graduate training programmes of BME as lecturers, but at this time we were present at the event as sponsors and exhibitors just as well.
Workers suffering injuries, becoming disabled or died in fatalities during work are remembered on the memorial day of those injured or died in accidents at work on 28 April. One day before the memorial day one of the fortresses of domestic research and development in safety and health at work, that is the Engineering Post Graduate Training Centre of BME organised a conference and exhibition. Sándor Czomba, secretary of state in charge of employment policy at the Ministry of Economic Development (GFM) presented a speech at the conference, highlighting that, albeit the number of people who died in occupational fatalities declined in Hungary last year, yet 60 persons suffer injuries each day and five people die in every five days while at work.
Eurofins Analytical Services Hungary Ltd.
