MicroDrink meeting at Eurofins Knowledge Center
Eurofins successfully convened the 2nd meeting of the MicroDrink project, part of the Interreg DRP as scheduled from October 8th – 10th, 2024, in Budapest, Hungary. One of the activity was International Joint sampling training session at Aba, Székesfehérvár, Hungary on October 9th.
The 2nd meeting was dedicated to the dissemination of data collected so far as well as to microplastics sampling process compliant with the EU Drinking Water Directive 2020/2184 guidelines.
All 11 Partner institutions and 4 Associated strategic partners have had representatives which took active participation in discussions on data collected so far as well on microplastics sampling and further project details.
International Joint sampling training session at Aba included participants from the project Microplastic (Institute of Public Health, Sombor). There a microplastics sampling process was demonstrated by filtering 1000 L of water to concentrate particles down to 20 μm in size.
Afterwards, excursion to the Geological Park of Bauxite and Balás Jenő Museum of Bauxite Mining (Gánt) was arranged. The last day of the meeting was dedicated to Steering Committee Meeting (SCOM) and Project communication. Lastly the equipment for microplastics sampling was distributed to each project partner.
